Match.com is a UK-based dating website that has grown massively in popularity since it was first established in 1993. It now serves more than 25 countries in eight different languages. Their website is fun, friendly and easy to use once you become a member, showing you accounts of potential ‘dates’ within your area. To start dating with Match.com, you can register for free by entering your preference eg. ‘woman seeking a man’, ‘man seeking a man’ and ‘woman seeking a woman’ and entering your date of birth. You will then be asked to enter your hometown (or the area in which you are living) so that match.com can find people near to you. Once your preferences have been entered, you can enter your email address to finalise setting up your account. Of course, match.com create a simple and easy to use website, but they also hope to create a safe environment so that you feel you can use the service at ease. If you have any complaints to make about the registration process or feel you are in danger using the site, then please call the complaints number where your issue can hopefully be rectified. Please note that you do have to be over 18 years of age to use Match.com and this will have to be confirmed before your account is created to avoid any underage users.Once you have signed up to use Match.com you will also receive updates and offers via email. You can turn off these notifications, as well as notifications from any of Match.com’s partners in the settings section of your account. Once you have pressed ‘get started’ you will be asked to complete your profile. You will be able to build and personalise your profile as you go along, but the initial start up should only take five minutes. Please call the complaints line if you feel that the site is running slow. To match you with people that are similar to you, you will be asked a series of questions such as whether or not you are looking for a relationship, so you can connect with people that are on the same wavelength. Of course, people that you match with will be able to message you at any time and vice versa. If you are experiencing any unwanted contact from another account user, you can head to their profile and block them from your contact list, meaning they will not be able to get in touch with you. If any problems like this still persist, you can ring the complaints number during the opening hours to take further action. To get the most out of Match.com, you will be required to pay a monthly fee. There are different packages at different prices available to every user and how much you pay depends on how much you want to get out of the service. All pricing information can be found on the website. If you notice that too much payment has been taken from your account you can call the complaints helpline to get this sorted.

Match.com always recommends that you choose a complex password.
