How to Perform a Factory Reset On An LG Phone

If you need to set your device back to its factory standard configuration (for whatever reason, we don’t ask too many questions and we don’t judge) you can do it by following these simple steps, laid out in an easy to read manner to prevent confusion and the accidental destrcution of your LG device. Simply follow them in a logical top – to – bottom order, reading from left to right in the traditional Western style, and put the information encoded in the text to use on your LG device. Upon completion, it will be set to factory default. You’ve done it! You’ve taken a non-factory default LG device and set it to the factory default settings! Take a minute and bask in what you’ve achieved. You have done the impossible. You can do anything.

That said, our recommended way of resetting an LG device to its factory standard settings is:

  • Switch your device into the “Off” configuration, characterised by a black screen and the inability to do anything
  • Simultaneously press and hold the buttons to lower the phone’s volume and the button to swich it off
  • Do not yield in your pressing until the LG icon appears on the screen – not a moment before. Don’t relent, no matter how hard it may be!
  • Once you see the logo, let off, and then begin holding the buttons once more. Resume your relentless pressing.
  • You will see a new screen – this one says “Factory Reset.” You may now cease your unyeilding pressure.
  • Use the previously-pressed buttons to navigate your new reality, and select your desired outcome
  • Reset the phone to the factory standards.
  • Congratulations.

In the unlikely event that this is unsuccessful, you should call the contact number for LG shown on this page, or bring your phone before a panel of experts at the LG store.

LG FAQ’s Expanded

What does LG sell?

LG began its journey to global mobile phone fame in the year of our Lord 19 and 47, two years after the fall of the third Reich and the catastrophic collapse of the Axis powers and establishment of the new Pax Americana across global geopolitics. It began in Korea, in what is now South Korea, as the North was a little strange even back then. Since its inception in the delicate pre-Cold War era, it has expanded across the world, providing the peoples of Earth with telecomms devices that are portable, easy to use, and stunningly well engineered. LG phones are known for their low chances of bursting into flame and their smooth appearances, and since the turn of the millenium, their branching into the smartphone market has seen them successfully compete against the likes of Apple, Nokia, LG and Samsung (again, their phones are known for their unwillingness to spontaneously combust, which may give them an edge over the other manufacturers).

LG do not just sell smart phones, however – they also sell smart domestic appliances, like smart fridges and smart whisks, which are usually pricy for their lineage, but available to the everyman at affordable electronics stores like Sainsbury’s.

If you’d like a look at the complete LG range, including their smart appliances and telecomms devices, you can visit their official website! This isn’t it.
