Jobcentre Plus Complaints

Jobcentre Plus is responsible for providing a variety of benefits to supplement financial income. This includes Income Support, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseekers Allowance, and the newer benefit which is gradually replacing them, Universal Credit. Call if you have a complaint about a benefit or a Jobcentre Plus facility that the staff there were unable to resolve already. You can also make complaints about the way they handle your claim for Budgeting Loans. Make complaints about the Social Fund, too.

Pension Service Complaints

Due to changes around the State Pension age, there are thousands of complaints about the pension service. Call if there is a problem with your State Pension payments or your claim. You can complain about changes to your eligibility even if you aren’t claiming your State Pension yet. Complain if there are issues with deferring your State Pension and taxes on extra payments. You can call to complain about any problems with Pension Credit, including Guarantee Credit to top up weekly income or Savings Credit as an extra payment.

Disability and Carers Service Complaints

The Disability and Carers Service assists people with disabilities and their carers. Financial support includes benefits such as Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, and Personal Independence Payments (PIP). There is also an Access to Work scheme, which helps people with disabilities who are able to work to gain fair employment. Call if you have a complaint about any of these benefits which the service has failed to address appropriately, whether you are disabled or a carer.

Child Maintenance Service Complaints

Low-income families struggle the most to support their children. The child maintenance service aims to provide support for those paying for their children’s care. They manage child maintenance payments for families with separated parents who disagree over the financial arrangement. Call to complain if there is a problem with payments or the arrangement made by the service is causing other issues. Complain about your case if you are unhappy about its management or outcome. Call for advice on making an appeal.

Independent Case Examiner Complaints

Once you have gone through the complaints process for the organization responsible, you can escalate your complaint to the Independent Case Examiner if you are still not happy with the outcome. You must get a final response referring you to the ICE before you can contact them. They will investigate complaints involving poor customer service, failure to properly follow procedures, and excessive delays, resulting in a negative impact towards the claimant. If you want to then complain about the ICE investigation, call them.
