About Cunard

Cunard is an Anglo-American cruise line that is based in Southampton. They are owned by Carnival & Corporation plc and celebrated 175 years of operation in 2015. They were first established in 1879 when they were recognised as the Cunard Steamship Company, and by the Second World War they were the largest Atlantic passenger line. Today, they are still a major cruise line, and they celebrated their 175 years in May 2015 by having three ocean liners sail up the Mersey and into Liverpool, which involved ship manoeuvres and red arrows performing fly-pasts.
