Brighthouse is a home retailer focusing on electronics, furniture and appliances such as TVs, laptops, dishwashers, vacuums, sofas, mattresses, wardrobes, sound systems, mobile phones and baby essentials such as strollers and car seats. The difference between Brighthouse and other retailers is that you can make weekly payments for your items to spread the cost rather than having to pay for it all up front. Brighthouse aims to focus on providing five-star service by unwrapping the items and setting them up for you and offering unlimited repairs throughout the duration of your payment agreement. If your product is ever beyond repairable, Brighthouse guarantees to give you a like-for-like replacement.
In the event that you are ever unhappy with a Brighthouse product, a repair Brighthouse has conducted on your behalf or you disagree with a payment schedule, you can contact Brighthouse using the phone number on this page to make a complaint.
Brighthouse Complaints Procedure
The Brighthouse complaints procedure offers you three ways to make your complaint. You can make the complaint in-store to a member of staff, over the phone by calling the number on this page or in writing, by sending your complaint to:
5 Hercules Way
The Brighthouse complaints team will aim to solve your complaint in three working days- if they cannot, the following actions will occur:
- Brighthouse will write to you to confirm that they have received your complaint.
- The team will aim to call you no more than 48 hours after your initial contact to work towards a solution that works for both parties.
- They will keep you updated on the progress of the complaint resolution process.
- Send you a letter with their findings and solution, known as a final response letter.
If you are not satisfied with the complaint resolution letter, you can refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. Your complaint can only be referred to the Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the outcome, or if it has been eight weeks since you first made a complaint and you have not received a response from Brighthouse. To make your complaint to the Ombudsman, write to:
Financial Ombudsman Service, Exchange Tower, London, E14 9GE
Brighthouse Credit Complaints
Brighthouse offers a range of alternatives to paying for an item upfront. They include making weekly payments, monthly payments and hire purchase agreements. The benefits of paying weekly/monthly are that you can split the cost of a larger payment into smaller manageable payments. However, it can be easy to fall into debt in making payment instalments. If you believe that you may struggle to make an upcoming payment, you should contact Brighthouse straight away so they can assist you.
In the event that you are unhappy with your credit agreement or how Brighthouse has treated you, call the complaints number on this page to register your complaint.
Brighthouse Repair Complaints
Brighthouse offers a five-star service scheme where you will get unlimited repairs on your appliance for the duration of your agreement. However, if you are unsatisfied with a repair- for example, if it didn’t fix the problem or you don’t feel that you were given a like-for-like replacement, you can make a complaint to Brighthouse by following the complaints procedure at the top of this page.
